2010 NCAA Grant

The NCAA awarded women’s basketball grants to 12 Division I schools and two conferences as part of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Grant Program to increase awareness, exposure and attendance of women’s basketball. A total of 88 member schools and conferences submitted proposals in the third year of the pilot program.

Project Overview

The Green Action comic book features West Virginia Women's Basketball Coach Mike Carey and the women's basketball program in conjunction with the West Virginia 4-H Club.

In its first year, the program is an initiative to promote awareness and concern about taking care of the environment, reading, and creative thought in elementary school children.
